Designing Tools

for Learning

As a designer, I believe digital tools should enhance [not replace or delegate]
the way we work with ideas, much like how paper and pencil already do.

Product designer with a background in psychology and human-computer interaction. With past experience designing B2B and B2C products, I excel at spotting behavior patterns and creating products that just feel right to use.

What I Bring to the Table Besides Snacks & Tea

Journalist Background
As a former award-winning journalist, I bring a unique design perspective grounded in uncovering behavior patterns, conducting interviews, and crafting strategic solutions.
Scrappy & Proactive Style
From YC startups to vibe-coding my own products, I’m all about a scrappy, hands-on process—building fast, testing early, and learning directly from real people.
Human-Centered Perspective
Everything I do revolves around people and with care —working with them and for them. I've been involved in community work in China, Peru, and Germany.
MORE ABOUT ME

What Brings Me Joy From Journalism to Design

For better or for worse, I didn’t start my career as a designer. After my college education at Wesleyan University majoring in psychology and economics, I was a journalist and podcaster. I’m grateful for my experience - content creation taught me empathy and storytelling, while my past studies made me practice logic and analysis.
In many ways, I feel like an archetypical Seattle transplant. I love exploring the nourishing power of nature, and I also love cramming people in our small kitchen where I experiment with brown sugar boba, egg tarts and more. I am addicted to the closeness it brings. If you have read this far, I would love to make you my signature boba some day :)
